Estonian SmartPOST enters Finnish market

Estonian innovative postal services company SmartPOST announced that from January 2010, people can send packages to Finland using their postal automats, Postimees Online/LETA reports.
The new service will be offered in cooperation with Finnish state-owned postal company Itella, meaning that a package mailed from one of SmartPOST package automats in Estonia will be delivered to the addressee in Finland via Itella’s service network.
Sending a package takes 3-4 days and the fee will be more favorable than alternative possibilities.
After the service on the Estonia-Finland direction is launched, the service in the Finland-Estonia direction will be also launched.
SmartPOST has 36 package sending automats operating in Estonian shopping centers.
