Construction input prices in Lithuania dropped by 0.5% in November

Statistics Lithuania informs that construction input prices in November 2009, against October, dropped by 0.5%. Over the year, construction input prices dropped by 13.4%.

In November 2009, against October, prices for building materials and products decreased by 0.6%, wages and salaries and overheads – by 0.4%, which had the strongest impact on the overall construction input price change. The overall price change was also influenced by a 0.2% decrease in hourly labour costs on operation of construction machines and mechanisms. 

 

The change in prices for building materials and products was mostly conditioned by a 1.2% decrease in prices for metallic products, windows and doors, 0.4% – basic building materials. In November 2009, prices for wood products decreased by 1.4%, finishing materials – 0.9%, insulation and plumbing materials – 0.8%. 

 

Over the year (November 2009, against November 2008), construction input prices dropped by 13.4%.
