Unemployment rate in Latvia remains at 14.3% at end-November

Print versionAt the end of November 2010, the registered unemployment rate in Latvia was still at 14.3%, according to information from the State Employment Agency (SEA).

At end-month, SEA counted 161,789 unemployed people.
The country's lowest unemployment rate was registered in the Riga Region – 11%, while the highest rate was in Latgale Province (eastern Latvia) – 22.1%, writes LETA.
The unemployment rate has climbed the most in Ventspils – by 0.4%. In Rezekne, it increased 0.1%, but Riga, Jurmala and Liepaja showed a drop – between 0.1% to 0.2%.
