IQ: Lembergs fifth richest person in Baltics

The Lithuanian magazine "IQ" has ranked Ventpils Mayor Aivars Lembergs (For Latvia and Ventspils), who has been charged with fraud and corruption, as fifth wealthiest person in the Baltic States. The magazine also emphasizes that Lembergs is one of the most controversial persons on the list.

According to the magazine, Lembergs' properties are worth nearly LVL 179 million.

 

Baltics' richest person is VP Grupe President, owner of the supermarket chain "Maxima", Nerijus Numavicius, who has an estimated worth of LVL 367 million, reports LETA/ELTA.

 

Second on the list of 50 richest persons in Baltics is Bronislovas Lubys, owner of concern Achemos grupe with LVL 275 million, third is Darius Mockus, owner of MG Baltic concern, fourth – Ilja Laurs, founder of GetJar mobile phone application company.

 

The list includes also several other Latvian businessmen – Kirovs Lipmans (33rd place), Leonids Esterkins, Sergejs Zaharjins (shared 55th/56th place), Andris Skele (37th), Justs Karlsons (43rd), Arnis Riekstins (46th), Guntis Ravis and Vadims Telics (shared 49th/50th place).
