Only 1/3 Estonian residents plan to vote at EP elections

Eurobarometer survey indicated that 35% of Estonian residents are determined to vote at European Parliament elections in 2009, writes Postimees Online.
In the European Union as a whole, 30% of respondents were certain that they will vote at the elections.
9% of Estonian respondents are certain that they will not attend the European Parliament elections (the EU average is 14%). In Estonia 55% of respondents who do not plan to go and vote, state that they are not interested in elections in general.
72% of respondents in Estonia feel that one vote will not change anything and 55% feel that the European Parliament is not dealing with problems that are sufficiently interesting for people.
