Minimum monthly subsistence level falls to LVL 177.63 in August

The minimum monthly subsistence level reduced to LVL 177.63 in August 2013, reports LETA/Nozare.lv, referring to the Central Statistical Bureau's data.

Compared to July, when the minimum monthly subsistence level was LVL 178.85, it reduced LVL 1.22 in August.

 

The minimum monthly subsistence level was LVL 175.46 in January, LVL 174.14 in February, LVL 176.81 in March, LVL 177.44 in April, LVL 177.9 in May, LVL 180.43 in June.

 

Compared to August 2012, the minimum monthly subsistence level rose LVL 3.35 in August 2013.

 

The content of the complete minimum consumer basket of goods and services was approved by the Council of Ministers on April 8, 1991. The minimum consumer basket does not include alcoholic beverages, tobacco and luxury items.

 

The value of the minimum consumer basket of goods and services is calculated monthly per one resident in Latvia by the Central Statistical Bureau.

 

According to data from the Central Statistical Bureau, the value of the complete minimum consumer basket of goods and services was LVL 176 last year, LVL 173 in 2011, LVL 166 in 2010, LVL 168 in 2009 and LVL 160 in 2008.
