Timber exports in Latvia grew by 53% in 7 months

In July 2100, Latvia exported LVL 81.27 million worth of timber, as the Agriculture Ministry's Forest Resource Department informed LETA.
Overall, in the first seven months of the year 2010, Latvian exported LVL 462.3 million worth of timber, which is 53% more when compared to the first seven months of 2009, when LVL 302.6 million worth of timber was exported from Latvia, writes LETA.
Sweden, Great Britain and Germany were the main export markets for Latvian timber. In the first seven months of the year, Latvia exported LVL 85.6 million worth of timber to Sweden (an 18.5% increase on last year), LVL 59 million to Great Britain (12.7% increase), and LVL 53.1 million to Germany (11.5% increase).
