Other events in Baltic States

February and spring is the perfect time for outdoor activities in Tallinn, and for attending musical events and festival all the month long at the local concert halls and venues, Tallinn.ee reports.

A lot of various events take place in Tallinn during the season ahead: Tallinn Winter Festival (11/02-20/02) – the eighth festival presents well-known artists from Estonia and abroad in some of Tallinn’s most stunning concert venues. In February also, Simple Session (22/02 – 23/02) will take place – Europe’s largest indoor skating and BMX contest has been making waves for years and attracts world-class competitors.

Events later on in the season provide Tallinn Music Week (27/03-29/03) – annually held music industry conference and one of the biggest indoor festivals in the Baltic-Nordic region presents around 800 acts from Estonia and abroad, and Estonian Music Days (05/04 – 11/04) – festival focusing on Estonian classical composers' newest music, the program traditionally also includes some premieres.

Afterwards, Jazzkaar 25 (18/04-27/04) is taking place – the biggest jazz festival in the Baltics, celebrating its 25th birthday this year, presents an extensive line-up of the best in local and international jazz.
