Other events in Baltic States

This upcoming spring and summer season, several large-scale military exercises are being planned in Latvia, with several thousand allied soldiers expected to participate in, LETA was informed by the Defense Ministry.

From April 12 to May 5, the Furious Hammer military exercises will be held in Latvia. Participating in the exercises will be soldiers from the Latvian National Armed Forces and allied military forces deployed to the Baltics.

These will be a tactical field exercises together with the British led NATO forces deployed to Estonia.

From May 13 to 25 the Summer Shield XVI military exercises will be organized in Latvia. Participating in these tactical operations exercises will be Latvian and U.S. troops, as well soldiers from the Canadian led NATO battalion.

From May 13 to July 14, Latvian and U.S. troops will be participating in a joint landing force exercises Swift Response 19.

From May 27 to June 3, Latvia will host the Efp est kg Certex tactical military exercises. Participating in these exercises will be Latvian and allied forces deployed to Latvia, as well as Estonian and allied forces deployed to Estonia.

From June 26 to July 11, Latvia will host the Jef (M) 19 Amphibex naval exercises. Participating in these exercises will be allied forces deployed to the Baltics, as well as Swedish and Finnish naval units.
