On Saturday the Social Democrats' Party in Estonia elected minister of internal affairs Jüri Pihl as the new chairman, writes Eesti Päevaleht/LETA.

In his speech at the party conference, Pihl  focussed prominently on the need for a tax reform, stating that he supports  the progressive income tax system and criticising the taxation policy of the Estonian right-wing political parties thus far.
