Deepest snow in Riga in 100 years

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center reports that the average 55 centimeters of snow on the ground in Riga this winter is the most in the past 100 years, writes LETA.
An average 57 centimeters was seen in the capital way back in 1909.
The least accumulation in Latvia – an average 20 centimeters – is registered this month in southwest Latvia – in the town of Rucava.
The average snow cover depth in all of Latvia in mid-February was 36 centimeters.
