Yesterday, the head coach of the Latvian national men's basketball team Ainars Bagatskis announced those 14 players who will represent Latvia during August's qualification tournament for the 2011 European Men's Basketball Championships, LETA was informed by the Latvian Basketball Association.

The final roster is made up of 14 players, even though only 12 players can play in the official games. The game-time roster will be announced before each game, with two players left off.

Today, Latvia will play its final exhibition game against Russia in Moscow.

As reported, in the qualification round for the 2011 European Men's Basketball Championship, Latvia has been drawn in the same group as Israel, Finland, Italy and Montenegro. Each team will play each other twice, once at home and once away. The games will take place from August 3 until August 29.

The first placed finishers in each of the three qualification groups, plus the top two second placed teams will qualify for the 2011 European Men's Basketball Championships.
