The final roster of the Latvian national women's basketball team for the upcoming European Women's Basketball Championships has been announced.

The Latvian squad will fly out to the European Championships in Poland on Thursday.

In 10 exhibition matches ahead of the European Championships, Latvia has only won three.

The roster of the Latvian team participating in the tournament is as follows: Gunta Basko (Krakow "Wisla Can-Pack", Poland), Elina Babkina (Gdynia "Lotos", Poland), Kristine Karklina ("Cadi La Seu", Spain), Zane Eglite ("Termocarispe", Italy), Liene Priede (Independence CC "Lady Pirates", United States), Zane Jakobsone ("TTT Riga"), Sabine Niedola (Nantes "Reze", France), Aija Putnina ("Arras", France), Ieva Kublina (Gyor "Seat Lami-Ved", Hungary), Karline Nimane ("TTT Riga"), Liene Jansone (Comense "Pool", Italy) and Zane Tamane (Sopron "MKB Euroleasing", Hungary).

As reported, this year's European Women's Basketball Championships will take place in Poland from June 18 to July 3, and will also be the qualification tournament for the 2012 London Olympics.

Latvia is in the same preliminary round group with reigning champion France, Greece and Croatia.
