Riga Museum of Erotic Art, established by Vidas Kontrimavicius of Lithuania, will open in Riga's Old Town today, as the owner of the museum's exposition told LETA.

Kontrimavicius accepted an invitation from his friends in Riga to move his collection of about 300 exhibits, originally displayed in Lithuania, to Latvia.

Before that, the exhibition was displayed in Kaunas Museum of Erotic Art.

In Riga, the collection has been supplemented with local erotic art, which will occupy one of the five halls of the Riga Museum of Erotic Art.

The museum is located at 24 Kalku Street in Riga's Old Town, on the second floor.

The museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and until 2 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Admission costs LVL 3 before 8 p.m. and LVL 5 after.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. today.
