"At the moment, according to the Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, there are more than 100 projects being implanted. According to another – the Strategy for the Danube Region – there are 150 projects being implemented. In total, there are more than 400 projects that are under the consideration. The value of these projects reaches EUR 49 billion," said Grauziniene in the meeting of the Chairpersons of the Committees on Environment Protection and the Committees on State Administration and Local Authorities called Macro-Regional Strategies: Development and Prospects.

According to Grauziniene, the European Parliament (EP) had to further support and to further develop the macroregional strategies on the EU level, while the national parliaments, taking into consideration that they had the best opportunities to maintain the relations between the strategic level and the general public, should be more active.
