Lithuanian and Ukrainian ForMin officials discuss Ukraine's EU integration

On November 4, Director of the European Affairs Department of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry Tomas Gulbinas had a meeting with Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin in Kiev during which he voiced support for Ukraine's integration into the European Union, reported BC Lithuanian MFA.

Ukraine, aiming to successfully complete the negotiations on the Association Agreement with the EU, has to overcome the rising challenges and draw attention to the quality of the implementation of the legislation in the context of the visa dialogue between the EU and Ukraine.

 

During the meetings, the interlocutors also discussed issues regarding the combined train Viking, which is a joint project of Lithuanian, Belarussian and Ukrainian railways and seaports and emphasized the significance of compliance with nuclear safety standards at the existing and future nuclear power plants.
