University of Latvia among Top 800 universities in "Times Higher Education" ranking

Print versionThe University of Latvia for the first time has been listed in "The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016", taking 601st-800th place, as the University of Latvia, writes LETA.

"Times Higher Education" studies the world's best universities and assesses their performance in research, teaching, knowledge transfer, and international prospects.
The University of Latvia is currently the first and only Latvian university that has been listed in such a ranking. This year, the world's top university is the California Institute of Technology (US), followed by University of Oxford (UK), and Stanford University (US).
"Times Higher Education" also lists two Estonian universities - University of Tartu (351st-400th place) and Tallinn University of Technology (501st-600th place). The list also includes Vilnius University (601st-800th place).
