Ambassador to Japan speaks about Latvia with students at Kobe University

Print versionToday, the Latvian Ambassador to Japan Peteris Vaivars met with international economic students at Kobe University, during which he acquainted the students with Latvia and talked about the country's foreign policy priorities, as well as discussed the current economic situation and how Latvia was able to overcome the crisis, LETA was informed by the Latvian Embassy in Tokyo.

During the discussion session, the Japanese students were very active in asking questions about relations between Latvia and Japan, including the history of the friendship between Riga and Kobe, as well as the education system in Latvia.
The visit to the university was organized by the European Union Institute in Japan, with the aim of offering students the possibility to get more acquainted with foreign policy and economic issues in various EU countries.
