Neste Oil changes name to Neste

Print versionFinnish fuel company Neste Oil is changing its official name to Neste; the corporate name change in Latvia will take place gradually over the coming years, the company informed LETA.

Neste says that the name change reflects the company's transformation from a traditional oil refiner to a global pioneer in renewable fuels. The corporate name change will take place gradually in all gas station networks in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Leningrad Oblast, Russia.
The company's visual look will remain unchanged, and the word "oil" will be omitted from the logo.
This year, Neste celebrates the 25th anniversary since the company began its operations in Latvia.
Over the past 25 years, Neste has invested over EUR 60 million in Latvia.
In 2013, the company's Latvian subsidiary posted EUR 327 million in turnover and EUR 5.88 million in profit.
