Lithuania is not very successful at communicating with Russia that is planning to construct a nuclear power plant in Kaliningrad region. Only with the intervention f diplomatic services Lithuania managed to get the documents related to the construction of this nuclear power plant that Lithuanian Ministry of Environment was interested in.

"The cooperation is taking place via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, because the Russian Federation has not been providing any information to Lithuania for some time. Only after a few diplomatic notes we received that information," said Head of the Pollution Prevention Department at the Ministry of Environment Vitalijus Auglys.

According to him, upon receiving the information of interest to it, Lithuania formulated 25 questions, but it has not received the answers yet.

"We have no answers today," said Auglys.

On Friday, the Ministry of Environment also announced that Lithuania officially opposed the plans of Belarus to construct a nuclear power plant about 50 kilometres from Vilnius, informed LETA/ELTA.
