Estonian Air to use smaller aircrafts

Chairman of the supervisory board of Estonian Air Olev Schults stated that the enterprise will exchange the existing fleet for smaller aircrafts, writes aripaev.ee.

“Taking into account the limitations on our market, we need smaller, lighter and more modern aircrafts,” said Schults in an online interview to aripaev.ee.

 

He added that the company has decided and already started financing changing Boeing 737-500 aircrafts for Bombardier CRJ 900NG.

 

“Initially three new aircrafts, in addition an option for three more,” stated Schults. He noted that according to the opinion of the company’s management board and of the supervisory board this is the most optimal aircraft in the context of the company’s small market, location and its business vision.
