Swedbank, ABLV and Rietumu remains largest banks in Latvia in terms of assets in 9 months

Swedbank assets stood at EUR 5.37 billion at the end of the third quarter, ABLV Bank assets were worth EUR 4.68 billion, Rietumu banka assets amounted to EUR 3.76 billion.
SEB banka assets reached EUR 3.7 billion at the end of the third quarter. Nordea Bank branch in Latvia was in fifth place with assets worth EUR 2.75 billion. DNB banka assets were worth EUR 2.41 billion, Citadele banka assets amounted to EUR 2.35 billion, Norvik banka – EUR 1.07 billion.
The other banks' assets did not exceed EUR 1 billion.
The total amount of the banking sector's assets was EUR 31.59 billion at the end of the third quarter, which is a 2.5% increase when compared to the end of 2014.
