EU – Baltic States, Foodstuff, Forum, Latvia, Markets and Companies

As exhibition "Riga Food 2010" project manager Rolands Nezborts yesterday informed media representatives, there are companies that participate in the exhibition each year, and companies that will be represented at the fair for the first time. 235 Latvian producers, 205 foreign producers and more than 100 Latvian companies connected with the food industry will participate in the exhibition. Nezborts emphasized that a number of new Latvian producers that make pasta, fruit, vegetables, canned food, meat products and others will for the first time will present their products at the exhibition, informs LETA.

As specified the director of the Marketing Council Inguna Gulbe, "The exhibition is a place where all the involved in the food industry sector meet" – farmers, food processing company, retailers, public catering providers and customers. During the exhibition the Marketing Council will organize different seminars and competitions on themes topical for food industry, as well as a discussion on government procurement matters.

Professionals from food and beverage industry sector, best chefs, pastry-cooks and barmen will meet at the exhibition "Riga Food" to display their professionalism, skill and originality, and compete for various prizes.

The official opening of the exhibition "Riga Food 2010" will take place on September 8 at 11 a.m.

This is the 15th "Riga Food" international exhibition.
