Foodstuff, Forum, Latvia, Markets and Companies

The stand will be organized by the Latvian State Institute of Agrarian Economics and the Agriculture Ministry, writes LETA.

The companies represented at the Latvian stand will be: nut producer Fooderus, confectioners Maris&Co, Baltas naktis and Daugulis & Partneri, meat processing company Rezeknes galas kombinats, spice mixture producers Valezs and Anatols, cabbage grower Dimdini, dairy companies Edaks and Vecsiljani, berry and vegetable processing company Puratos Latvia, berry and mushroom processing company Mandor Riga, potato starch producer Aloja-Starkelsen and Saldus partikas kombinats.

Also will be organized "Regional Days" where visitors will be offered to become familiar with various foods characteristic of specific Latvian regions products, and participate in taste-testing events.

Vidzeme will be represented by Smiltenes piens, Lazdonas piensaimnieks, farms "Spulgas", "Reki", "Veckukuri" and "Dimanti", beekeeper Vija Raka's biologically certified bee farm, "Maiznica Flora" and "Lielezers".

Wine producers from Talsu Region's Barkans family, farms "Smilskalni", "Birznieki", "Ballas" and "Garsu fabrika" will represent Kurzeme.

Rigas Piensaimnieks, onion marmalade producers "Waras ula" and "Vidzemes maiznica" will represent Riga.

Zemgale will be represented by "Dona". Latgale producers have not applied for food savoring events.

"Riga Food 2012" will run from September 5 through September 8.
