Estonian real estate market enlivens in Q2

Estonian Land board announced that in the second quarter of 2015, a total of 15,130 real estate transactions worth approximately 790 million euros were conducted in Estonia, a strong growth year-on-year, writes LETA.

In the second quarter of last year, a total of 14,280 real estate transactions worth 649 million euros were conducted.
Altogether 35,594 hectares of land changed owners during the second quarter of this year; a year earlier the figure was 41,579 hectares. The biggest amount of land changed hands in the Viljandi County – 3,947 hectares, the smallest in Järva county – 1,305 hectares.
Real estate price index grew in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the second quarter of 2014 by 7.5% and 3.7% as compared to the previous quarter.
Apartment price index grew by 9.5% year-on-year, undeveloped land price index by 4.7% and the built-up residential land price index by 3.1%.
