Estonian Omniva creates a joint venture with China's S.F. Express

BC, Tallinn, 24.09.2015.Print version
Estonian state-owned postal company Omniva and the Chinese express delivery services company S.F. Express established a joint venture called Post11, which for Estonian people means faster arrival of packages from China, LETA/Maaleht reports.

The joint venture will bring the goods from China with S.F. Express and partners planes, and the delivery time for the people of Estonia will decrease to a few days; around a half of all goods people order from abroad come from China.

Omniva's board chairman Aavo Kärmas noted that while so far the goods from China to Estonia travelled up to two months, the Chinese merchants are looking for the quickest delivery times to end users.

The new company will create Post11 intermediate goods warehouses in Estonia so that the most popular goods would quickly reach their buyers.

The purpose of the joint venture in the first stage is delivery of goods from China not only in the Baltic States, but also in other countries, such as Russia, the Ukraine, North European countries, and as the next step, in the whole of Europe.

S.F. Express is China's largest courier company, which operates 39 transport aircraft, 19,000 vehicles, and they have 12,260 service points throughout the world.
