Ukrainian company begins producing cheese in former DK Daugava production plant

The Ukrainian-owned dairy company Latvian Dairy Ltd. has begun producing various types of cheese for export in the former DK Daugava milk-processing plant in Jaunjelgava County, and is currently employing approximately 60 persons, the company's representatives told LETA.

Latvian Dairy is a subsidiary of the Ukrainian company Terra Food, which was established in 2015 after the Ukrainian investors purchased the DK Daugava dairy plant from Russian company Gogol-Mogol.
Terra Food is a Kyiv-based dairy company and one of the industry leaders in Ukraine, which specializes in producing cheese and butter products, and currently exports to over 30 countries around the world.
