Lithuania's MRO provider FL Technics opens airplane service center in Indonesia

FL Technics, an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services company that is part of the Lithuanian-owned, Warsaw-listed aviation group Avia Solutions Group (ASG), has opened an airplane servicing center in the airport of Indonesia's capital Jakarta, informed FL Technics representative.

"The Jakarta  Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is the biggest in the region, therefore, we hope that the newly-opened hangar will soon make us one of the leading MRO companies on the market," said FL Technics CEO Zilvinas Lapinskas.

In his words, the company also signed aircraft maintenance contracts with 10 Indonesian and Thai airlines.

The new hangar in Jakarta features area of 9,000 square meters and is able to accommodate three Boeing 737- or Airbus A320-type airplanes at a time. This is the company's third MRO base, with two other bases operating in Vilnius and Kaunas.

Last year, FL Technics posted a net loss of 11.917 mln euros, down from a net profit of 145,000 euros in 2014, while revenue grew by 4.3% to 86 .638 mln euros.
