Turnover of LMT in Latvia increased by 9% in H1

Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) mobile operator group closed the first half of 2017 with EUR 97 million in turnover, which rose by 9% against a year before, the company reported LETA.
The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and
amortization (EBITA) reached EUR 30.6 million, up 6% from the first half of
this year.
The number of LMT customers
increased to 1.24 million.
The company’s representatives noted that the steepest rise in the first
half of this year was recorded in mobile data services – by 47%.
In 2016, LMT group reported EUR
190 million in turnover and a profit of EUR 22.3 million.
Founded in 1992, LMT is the
oldest mobile operator in Latvia. LMT
shareholders are Scandinavia's TeliaSonera
(49%), Lattelecom (23%), the
state-owned Latvian State Radio and Television Center (23%), and the Latvian
Transport Ministry (5%).
