BC, Vilnius, 18.10.2017.Print version
Hella, German manufacturer of lighting technology and electronics products for the automotive industry that opened construction of a factory in the Kaunas free economic zone (FEZ) in early October 2017, intends to invest 15-20 million euros annually in Lithuania over the next few years, says the company's board member Gerold Lucas, cites LETA/BNS.
"The investment in the structure is about 10 million euros, the price for one line is about 2.5 million euros. At the beginning, we will need at least one line, with 5-7 million euros in investment needed for further development. We currently plan annual investment of 15-20 million euros, and the process may take from three to six years, depending on the circumstances and the results," Lucas told Verslo Zinios business daily.
In his words, the first module of the new plant under construction in Kaunas will manufacture 250 million euros worth of products per year. The Lithuanian output will include LED light modules, which, in Lucas' words, should be intended for BMW automotive manufacturer.
