Puma Aviation Europe, a subsidiary of the Estonian fuel logistics company Alexela Logistics, has won the fuel tender of the Belgian air force and in three years is to supply AVGAS aviation fuel to Belgian air force bases, reports LETA/BNS.

Puma Aviation Europe representative Peter Soroka said that winning the tender is a milestone as now the company will have the opportunity to expand its activity in the field of NATO defense industry. "We are an innovative and trustworthy logistics partner to all parties looking for a professional contractor for their fuel supply," Soroka said in a press release.

The total volume of the tender is approximately 1.2 million liters. The AVGAS 100LL aviation fuel is produced in the Alexela terminal located in Paldiski, where the company supplies the aviation fuel daily to altogether five continents.

The aviation fuel of the Belgian air force will be transported from the South Port of Paldiski to the Port of Rotterdam, where a special fuel truck will take the fuel to the Belgian air force bases.

Puma Aviation Europe also established a logistics center in the Netherlands, from where the company will start supplying AVGAS to a number of European airports. The logistics center is another important step in making the aviation fuel produced in Paldiski available across the whole of Europe.

The leaded AVGAS 100LL fuel is used in spark-ignited internal-combustion engines to propel aircraft. The fuel is produced according to exact standards under strict quality control to ensure the reliability of engines and flight safety.

Puma Aviation Europe is a subsidiary of the Alexela Logistics group which deals with the sale and marketing of aviation fuel in Europe.
