Weightlifter Rebeka Koha on Thursday won bronze at the World Weightlifting Championships in the United States to become the first female weightlifter from Latvia to win a medal at the world championships, reports LETA.
In the 58 kg category, Koha lifted a combined total of 222 kilograms - 101
kilograms in the snatch and 121 kilograms in the clean and jerk, informs LETA.

silver at the European Championship. At the Rio Olympics, Koha placed fourth.
Nine countries have been banned from competing at this year's World
Championships due to their history of doping at previous Olympic Games: Russia,
China, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Turkey, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus and Azerbaijan.
