US-based e-logistics company Carggo is moving its software development center from Moscow to Vilnius, with plans to hire up to 65 specialists in the Lithuanian capital by the end of the year, Invest Lithuania said on May 31dt, cites LETA/BNS.

Carggo will relocate some 35 software developers from Russia to Lithuania this coming summer, the government's foreign investment promotion agency said in a press release.

"The employees of the locally established UAB Carggo Europe will be benefitting from the EU Blue Card program that facilitates the migration procedures for highly skilled individuals," it said.

"The case of Carggo -- a company that relocates a significant number of its staff from outside of EU -- is not unprecedented. We have already seen, for example, entire game development studios come here from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia," Invest Lithuania Managing Director Mantas Katinas said in the press release.

Founded in 2016, Carggo currently employs over 60 people in several offices in Europe and the US and plans to increase that number to 300 by 2019.
