According to the International Congress and Convention Association's (ICCA) rankings of top meeting destinations in 2010, Vilnius gets 51 position out of 309 worldwide cities-destinations. 35 association meetings matching ICCA criteria were held in the city in 2010. It is a very significant increase comparing these data with the appropriate of 2009, when, accordingly, Vilnius got 53 position with 30 meetings held there, writes LETA.

Comparing worldwide countries in 2010, Lithuania gets 49 position and according to the Europe rankings, Lithuania takes place 27 (38 meetings).

ICCA includes in its ranking only association meetings that are attended by at least 50 participants, are being organized on a regular basis and move between at least 3 different countries. The full statistics report on the year 2010 will be released by the end of June.
