Latvian post-folklore band "Ilgi" performed a small concert at the venue last evening.

One of the new venue's co-owners Girts Majors, who also runs the well-known Positivus Music concert agency in Latvia, admitted to LETA that yesterday was the day he and many others had all been waiting for quite a long time. "Unlike some of our previous projects, this concert venue project has been a huge gamble. This has been the biggest project we have ever implemented," said Majors.

Historically, during the Soviet-era and the early 1990's, "Palladium" was a popular movie theater, which has now become a world-class concert venue.

The "Palladium" concert venue is located on Marijas Street 21, however, the entrance to the venue is from Perses Street.

The concert venue will officially be unveiled on September 30, when British singer James Blunt will perform a concert.
