Print versionThe Estonian national airline Estonian Air intends to become the network carrier by 2013, the Estonian national broadcasting corporation ERR reports.

The company's chairman Joakim Helenius gave the public speech at an international tourism conference on September 29 announcing the carrier's plans.
According to Helenius, the company plans to shift from a regional carrier to a larger and wider routes' network, writes LETA.
"The new business model will offer the population of Estonia increased opportunities for travel, as well as significantly improve the attractiveness of Estonia through the development of tourism and international economic relations," Helenius said.
Helenius pointed out that the new business model would require significant investment by the state.
