This year, "Bergs" moved up 19 spots when compared to 2010, writes LETA.
The top spot on the list went to the "Michelin" two-star restaurant "Noma" in Denmark, where "Bergs" head chef Kaspars Jansons has also had the opportunity to work. Second place was given to the world-famous "Mugaritz" in the north of Spain, while third place went to the UK's "The Fat Duck".
On its homepage – www.theeuropean50best.com, the internet portal collects reviews on where to eat from thousands of clients throughout the year. After visiting a restaurant, the site's creators themselves decide whether or not to include it in the top of their list. Inclusion to the ranking is judged by the quality of the ingredients in the food, the level of ability in preparing and putting together a flavorful meal, creativity, adherence to culinary standards, presentation and service.
