Froont helps to prototype responsive websites
Sandijs Ruluks. |
The traditional process of prototyping responsive websites is slow. It involves a designer spending ages designing pixel-perfect websites, printing them out and presenting them to clients, who then give their feedback which leads to the design alterations. Only then are the designs passed on to developers, who once again have to go back and forth to make it work across multiple screens exactly the way it was designed to.
Welcome to the scene Froont, which allows the work of the designer and the developer to be carried out by the designer alone, thus saving time and cutting costs.
“It's natural to actually see what you're designing. That's why many people still choose Photoshop which kind of does the job but is primarily made for image retouching and so isn't suited for designing fluid layouts,” says Sandijs Ruluks, Froont CEO.
“With Froont designers have to spend less time designing a mobile friendly website and clients can see the result right away, even on their mobile devices. The future of the web is mobile centred, and so is Froont. Less repetitive tasks – more focus on the design process.”
Froont is an alumni of the recent batch of Startup Sauna, a Finnish tech scene and startup accelerator. They are the only team who returned home with a deal from the VC company, Inventure announced in September 2012.
