Real estate purchase transactions in Latvia grew by 14.6% in February y-o-y

Print versionIn February 2013, the number of real estate purchases in Latvia increased by 14.6% from February 2012, housing transactions – 15%, according to the analysis of the Land Register's data by the real estate company Latio, writes LETA/Nozare.lv.

The number of apartment purchases in Latvia grew by 16.5% in February 2013, whereas the number of private house purchases increased by 1%.
Compared to February 2012, the number of apartment purchases in Riga grew 9.2% in February 2013, the number of private house purchases reduced by 4.5%.
The number of apartment purchases in Riga is significantly larger than the number of private house purchases. 640 apartment transactions were registered in February 2013 in Riga, comprising 90% of all housing purchases in Riga.
