Number of real estate transactions in Estonia grew by 12.4% in Q1

According to the Estonian Land Board data, 11,174 real estate transactions for approximately 490 million euros were conducted in Estonia in the first quarter of the year 2013; the number of transactions grew by 12.4% in a year, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

In the first quarter of 2012, 9,940 real estate transactions were conducted for 412 million euros.
The real estate price index growth was by 12.3% in a year and 2.4% as compared to the fourth quarter of 2012. Apartment price index grew by 13.8%, unimproved land index by 16.1, imprived building land index by 0.7%.
Nearly 33,347 hectares of land exchanged owners in the first quarter versus 30,340 hectares in the first quarter of last year.
