Latvian Reform Party to be liquidated
BC, Riga, 26.03.2015.Print version
The board of the Reform Party has made the decision to begin the party's liquidation process, the party's chairman and current MP Vjaceslavs Dombrovskis (Reform Party/Unity) told LETA today.
Even though it was previously decided that the party would continue its work, it will be liquidated due to a lack of party members, Dombrovskis explained.
''The party's board has made the decision to liquidate the party,'' Dombrovskis said.
The Reform Party was established in 2011 by ex-President Valdis Zatlers after he dismissed parliament. The party achieved good results in the 11th Saeima elections, but saw a substantial drop in popularity after the elections.
