According to Grybauskaite, to achieve this it is necessary to continue court reforms and introduce law amendments to reduce the duration of cases.
During the meeting, the president and Minister Bernatonis discussed most important works of the Ministry of Justice, main activities and priorities.
"Trust of people in justice system means trust in the state. We cannot allow it that the interests of Lithuanian people were jeopardized due to inefficient, non-transparent and negligent justice. Therefore, it is necessary to further carry out the reforms to improve the work of courts, to speed up court cases and to ensure transparency of legal framework," said Grybauskaite.
