Estonian kayak producer Tahe Outdoors, who two years ago bought a French kayak producer, now expanded to Germany where it bought two strong competitors, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

"The acquisition of strong German brands like Robson & Bondibeach kayaks, as well as Robson and Lightning paddles is a significant milestone in our strategy to become the #1 watersports company in Europe, and building a truly global solution in one stop shopping for all water sports products," said Janek Pohla, one of the owners of Tahe Outdoors.

Tahe Outdoors, already the water sports market leader in Scandinavia, acquired in 2013 the French paddle manufacturing icon Egalis S.A.S, and now with the addition of German brands controls a significant share of the European water sports market. This acquisition brings to Tahe Outdoors new valuable German brands, product lines and sales networks in lucrative market segments. Tahe Outdoors will now be able to meet its customers demands with a complete composite paddle portfolio, whitewater kayaks, and specialized rental kayaks and canoes.

Tahe Outdoors is one of the biggest European manufacturer of watersports equipment, operating with 8 brands – Tahe Marine kayaks, Zegul kayaks, Trapper inflatables, Egalis paddles, Beluga watersports clothing and apparel, Robson kayaks, Bondibeach kayaks and Lightning paddles.
