"Gamblers Anonymous" to mark 12 years in Latvia

Print versionNext week, January 12th, the Latvian branch of "Gamblers Anonymous" (GA) will mark its 12th year of existence in Latvia, informs LETA.

A movement founded in Los Angeles in 1957, it has three self-help groups in Riga and one in Liepaja, that meet once a week.
GA gathers people with the same plight, and the only requirement to join is the desire to quit gambling. Members follow a "12 step" program and adhere to "12 traditions."
