BC, Tallinn, 22.02.2013.Print version
Atria Baltic saw its sales turnover fall in 2012 by a million euros to 34.2 million euros; the loss before financial income and expenditures was 1.5 million euros or by 0.7 million euros smaller than a year ago, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

"The turnover fell but it is important that we managed to reduce the loss remarkably – we have managed to considerably reorganise the company and the product portfolio, although a lot of work still has to be done," said Atria Eesti CEO Olle Horm.

"We need to increase volumes that improve profitability that is the prerequisite for sustainable activities," said Olle Horm, admitting that the meat market competition in Estonia and the Baltic states is very trough.

The whole Finnish Atria Group turnover grew last year to 1.34 billion euros, profit before taxes to 18.9 million euros.
