Grindeks opened new final dosage forms plant

Today top state officials of Latvia, including President Valdis Zatlers, participated in the opening of a new final dosage forms plant of the joint-stock company Grindeks, the largest pharmaceutical company in the Baltic countries.

LVL 9.1 million have been invested in the new plant, it is the largest investment project in the history of the company, writes LETA.

 

Economy Minister Kaspars Gerhards (For Fatherland And Freedom/LNNK, TB/LNNK), Health Minister Ivars Eglitis (People's Party), Riga Mayor Janis Birks (TB/LNNK), Grindeks council chairman Kirovs Lipmans, Grindeks board chairman Janis Romanovskis also participated in the opening ceremony.

 

Other participants in the ceremony included Russian Ambassador to Latvia Alexander Veshnyakov, Chinese Ambassador Cheng Wenju, Belarussian Ambassador Aleksander Gerasimenko and Lithuanian Ambassador Antanas Valionis.

 

With the new plant, Grindeks production capacities of final dosage forms exceed 1.5 billions of tablets and 500 millions capsules per year.
