In August price of apartments in Lithuania fell by 3.3%

Print versionPrices of apartments in five major Lithuanian cities – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, Panevezys – decreased by 3.3% in August 2009, the real estate company Ober-Haus said in its study, based on Lithuanian apartment price index (OHBI), as reported by Verslosavaite.lt/LETA.

Data show that of the five above-mentioned cities the sharpest fall in apartment prices was observed in Siauliai – by 4.9%, and the smallest was recorded in Klaipeda – by 0.6%.
OHBI demonstrate that during last 12 months prices of apartments in Lithuania fell by 30%, in July as compared to the same months of the previous year prices of apartments decreased by 28%.
Reported price level of Lithuanian apartments has fallen to the level of December 2005.
