Ober-Haus: apartment prices in Riga unchanged for third month in a row in April

No noteworthy changes have been registered in the price for luxury apartments in downtown Riga nor for apartments in newly-build apartment houses and pre-owned apartments, Ober-Haus informs.
Local residents are mostly interested in small two- and three-room apartments. The majority of such prospective buyers is made up of young people with stable income, who are eligible for mortgage loans. There is also significant interest in foreclosures that are usually available on more advantageous mortgage conditions, says Ober-Haus.
Over the past 12 months, apartment prices have risen 4.5%, according to the Ober-Haus index, writes LETA.
Compared to May 2007, when apartment prices were record high, the price level this past May was 59.7% lower, Ober-Haus informs.
