airBaltic council elected new chairman – Vigo Legzdins

The council of Latvia’s national airline airBaltic met today to elect a new chairman. His name is Vigo Legzdins.

He has worked in the transport sector for many years and is currently board chairman of the state-owned joint stock company Latvian Roadworks. Previously he was state secretary at the Ministry of Transportation and also headed its Investment and Transit Policy Department. Legzdins has also served on the boards of the ports in Riga and Liepaja, reported BC Janis Vanags, Vice President Corporate Communications of airBaltic.

 

Vigo Legzdiņš: “I am pleased to take over the chairmanship of the council right now, when airBaltic has become the Airline of the Year in Europe – the highest recognition which any company in the Baltic region has received in this sector.”

 

Along with Legzdins, members of the airBaltic board include Arnis Muiznieks, Daiga Falkane, Ilmars Razumovskis, and Jean-Charles Korsak.
