Valdis Dombrovskis.

The premier informed that at this time talks are continuing with the airline's minority shareholders' representative (and true beneficiary) Andrey Rudeshko, organized by the Transport Ministry in tandem with the government's financial consultant Prudentia.

The Cabinet of Ministers will hear a progress report today on these talks.

Dombrovskis rejected reports that the government wants to "torpedo" the airline. He pointed out that the government over a month ago made a decision on how to bail out airBaltic, however, this process is being hampered by airBaltic President Bertolt Flick. The PM had no comment on talk that today's raids/searches of a number of airBaltic offices, are a demonstration of the government"' flexing its muscles."

As for investing in airBaltic, the premier explained that his will occur as soon as several requirements are completed, informs LETA.
